This pioneering exchange program received support from The Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the ASEAN Dhammadatu Project in Thailand. It commenced with the participation of four monks, comprising two Tibetan Monks and two Thai Monks.
Although the one-year program concluded in 2019, it yielded invaluable insights and experiences. Notably, one of the Tibetan monks chose to remain in Thailand to pursue studies at Maha Chulalongkorn University and immerse himself in the Thai language and local culture. This decision laid the groundwork for the 5-Year Pali Sanskrit International Bhikkhu Exchange Program, which began in December 2022.
